On Day 2 at the US Open, rain washed out 25 matches but not before the 2016 champion bowed out to one of the tour's talented teenagers. 19-year-old Naomi Osaka banished her US Open demons to oust 2016 champion Angelique Kerber 6-3, 6-1, while World No.1 Karolina Pliskova and young American Madison Keys moved safely into the second round.

The Insider team breaks down the match of the day and previews a Day 3 that features 41(!) matches on the schedule. Apologies in advance for the slight hum in the audio in the first few minutes. It gets better!
