On Day 3 at the US Open, Ekaterina Makarova snapped her 0-7 streak against Caroline Wozniacki, beating the World No.5 in three sets to advance to the third round. The match-up was a brutal second round draw for both women, but then again, brutal early draws has been a them throughout the first three days of the tournament.
